The only possible mole on the model’s cheek, so to speak, is that it’s not a less-smogged ‘74 with the early ‘74 removable upper door frames. That being said, I don’t think a funky option package like that was available that year.

“Trail Duster” sounds like a porn name. Or a sex move.
I can see the regular car review of this now. Complete with the Mr. Regular voice “Yeah the movie was boring so I took her to the back seat and gave ‘er the ol’ TRAIL DUSTER ! It involves a bag of powered sugar, 5 lug nuts, and then........The waiting can beGINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!! iTs nOT DoNe uNTiL tHE dusT SETtleSSSSSS!!!!! ”
....I have been on the phone with a really dumb customer for the past hour. Someone help me.

If you zoom on the picture it looks like it's a full removable without door frames, but the top is painted to mimic a full door frame. Odd!

Instead of doing what the Blazer did from ‘73-’75 with “hardtop” style doors and a weather seal on the top, the Ramchargers and Trail Dusters had a removable “L” back of the upper frame for part of the first year.
This is factory:
Here’s a Blazer, for comparison:
A little less half-assed.

I briefly had an EXTREMELY rough early Ramcharger with the full removable top, and I thought the upper door frame was part of the top, but it’s been 15ish years.

I could always be wrong. I was going off the Wikipedia and the knowledge that they went to full frames with nary a blink during a single production year -and as far as I could tell or knew, they were using the normal door glass and would otherwise have had to roll down a window to open the door or use a very, very weird top door frame that didn’t look like that...

It must be my love for obscure rebadges, but I'm really digging this truck.
